Gugulethu Sophie Mbatha, also popularly known as Gugu - is a British stage actress and film actor. Her fame was boosted by appearing on the BBC's Doctor Who', a British science-fiction television show. Gugu was famous for her character Tish Jones on the BBC series. She was the daughter of the main character named Martha Jones. Gugu's audiences loved her bright energy and spontaneity. There was no way to stop her from her successful performance career! Gugu also appeared in various British stage and TV productions. Her role as Belle (2013) on the British period drama 'Beyond The Lights', and her outstanding role as a romantic in "Beyond the Lights', has been praised by the critics. Also, she appeared in American television productions like "Undercover" an Tom Hanks comedic movie, and the series "Touch". Gugu was the main character in Jessica Swale's 2015 play, "Nell Gwynn", as an actress and mistress to the king Charles II. The critics praised her performance and nominated her for the Evening Standard Theatre Award. For the great honour of her contribution to the field of the theatre, Gugu was named a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) by Queen Elizabeth II.
Chelsea Joy Handler was born on the 25th of February 1975 at Livingston, New Jersey. She was one of the six smallest children. Her father was a used car dealer, and her mother was a housewife. Her mother arrived in America in the year 1958 as an immigrant from Germany. She had been diagnosed with breast carcinoma in 1989. Handler is a Jew of the Reform movement, and her father was Jewish. Handler was born in a nice neighborhood, and enjoyed a pleasant childhood. When she was 19 and made the move into Los Angeles to pursue her acting profession. In order to support herself, Handler began to work as an actress. Handler started doing stand-up as a full-time comedian when she turned 21. Handler had realized that she has a knack for storytelling. Handler started her career by joining the only female Oxygen cast, which starred in a TV show called Girls Behaving BADLY. The series was famous for its hidden camera as well as the practical joke. From 2002 until 2005, the show was aired. Handler was later employed in numerous other shows including Weekends at D.L. The Bernie Mac Show My Wife and Kids, The Practice as well as Weekends at D.L. Handler is also the correspondent of The Tonight Show. Handler made her breakthrough in 2006 when she started host her own program on E! It was titled The Chelsea Handler Show. The show ran for 2 seasons. Handler appeared on the Comedy Central Hour Stand-Up Comedy Tour on American soil in the following year. VH1, Comedy Central Premium Blend and HBO have shown Handler's stand-up performances. In 2010, it was announced that she was to host the MTV Video Music Awards 2010. This made her only the second female to host the VMA's, following Roseanne Barr.
